Songs In Real Life Assignment

Your assignment is to create a video that is similar in idea to the Songs In Real Life video that we watched in class. Your video must meet the following conditions:

 - Be at least 1 minutes long

 - Contain a title and credits

-          - Contain 7 sections with song lyrics and audio files included

             - Use a variety of camera moves and shots (ie. close-up, long shot, pan, tilt)

             - Contain a variety of settings (ie. not all shots of two people at their desks)

             - Be edited in Adobe Premiere Pro and SoundBooth so that audio and video fit together well

Before you start you must create a storyboard for your video. Use the storyboard rubric that we have printed out. There should be at least one shot on the storyboard per section with song lyrics. You must have the camera moves and shots, the storyboard and the basketball video completed before you start taking video for the project.

Assignment 3 Using Adobe Premiere

Alright class, it is time to learn how to edit the videos that you will be creating! You are going to learn how to use Adobe Premiere using the online videos. I have already shown you how to take movie files from the cameras so you can skip the videos 3 and 4.

Once you have completed watching these videos (follow along while you are watching them), you are to go to Q:/Media In Motion/2011-2012/Sr Boys Bball/ and then go to any folder there and take some old basketball footage and make a highlight clip from it. The requirements for the video are below:

30 seconds long

Clips cannot be more than 4 seconds long

3 transitions/effects used

Bring in three sound clips (music, recorded voice, sound effect, etc.)

Title

Credits

Export your final video and post it to your blog. If it is too big, post it to YouTube and post the link on your blog.

Assignment 2 Camera Moves and Shots

The following link is a very detailed document talking about Camera Moves and Shots. These moves and shots are used in video making for different purposes. Your first job as a videographer is to practice using a camera to take these shots. In a group of 2-3, use a video camera or DSLR Camera to take the following shots and to do the following camera moves. When you are done, come show your teacher and show them.

Assignment 1 Audio/Video - Animal Voiceover

It is your job to give the animals a voice! For far too long animals have been misunderstood and you finally have a chance to fix this. You must pick one of the four videos located at q:/assignments/dunn/animal videos and add at least one minute and 30 seconds of audio to the video file. You must include sound effects, all group members must use their voices, and your final product must be posted to your blog. You will be marked as follows.
